ARN’s The Edge 96.1 to drop its urban playlist for “nonstop Christian hits”?

Former Assistant Editor

The Edge 96.1’s Mike E & Emma just pulled a truly epic prank on the staff at ARN.

The duo sent round an email asking all staff asking them to head over for a presentation about “big changes coming to The Edge in 2018.”

Mike E and Emma then introduced a sizzle reel, with a little help from ARN’s CEO and a few of the presenters, who were in on the joke.

The incredible video kicked off with short snippets of presenters talking about The Edge’s new slogan of “non stop Christian hits” overlaid with Christian music clips and Justin Bieber talking about spirituality.

Needless to say there were some fantastic reactions from the entire audience.

It was only after Mike E and Emma had fielded some questions from the audience that they revealed that the whole thing was a ruse.

“It doesn’t have to be preachy,” Mike said, before breaking character and admitting “there is no announcement and we’re glad we’ve wasted your time.”
