The Life & Times of Rod Brice

Rod Brice has had a remarkable career in radio as a programmer & researcher. When you look at what he has achieved, there’s a lot of sixes in there.

Sex, Drugs & Meditation

Mary-Lou Stephens is the drive announcer at ABC Sunshine Coast. She has written an explosive tell-all book about her life.

“I didn’t want people cutting heroin on my coffee table. I didn’t want a taste. But Todd was persuasive, he always had been. He was a happy druggy and totally unapologetic about his lifestyle. Greg Smith is an inductee into the Australian Radio Hall of Fame, and a Director of Radio Today.

One of the biggest changes to radio in the last decade or so has been the growth of networked programs from Sydney & Melbourne.

On the downside some markets have felt a backlash & a loss of revenue from local advertisers. Local advertisers love live reads & interaction with the talent. In a lot of cases it was too hard for the talent to deal with so many stations.
