Mix 102.3’s Jodie and Soda get into the Christmas spirit early

Jodie & Soda celebrated their final show on Mix 102.3 for the year by getting into the Christmas spirit in a big way.

Broadcasting live form Victoria Square in Adelaide CBD on Friday, Jodie & Soda gave away a Hyundai Kona to a lucky family, and also hosted the KickStart for Kids which helped to raise over $70,000 for charity.

Over 750 people turned out for the event, with the hosts inviting along listener Julie who was in the running to win a car in the Mix 102.3 Car for Christmas Competition.

The only catch was that if she won she had to give the car away, so Julie had previously nominated her son, who she’s been driving to work while he tried to save for a ride of his own.

Julia arrived for the competition not knowing that Jodie & Soda had already made the decision to give the car to her and son Luke, and when the decision was announced she was reduced to tears of joy.

Jodie & Soda will return for Mix 102.3 breakfast in 2018.
