Studio’s dead, but we’ve got a ukelele

If sleeping in is the worst nightmare for a Breakfast Announcer then this must rank a close second for any Announcer – particularly those who are on-air at a time when there is no engineer in the building.

Earlier this week the 96Five Breakfast team in Brisbane were on the air, when Next Gen and Adobe in the studio completely died.

The microphones still worked, as did the (outdated) backup CD. 

To make it worse or, depending on your perspective, more amusing, Breakfast hosts Liam Renton and Robbie Parkin had Hi Five live in the studio at the time. 

So how did the guys decide to handle it? Check out the brief video below featuring just a snapshot of the content they did whilst waiting for the engineers to fix the problem.

 

 

Hi-5 joined the Family Show live in studio this morning, as backing singers to one of Liam and Robbie’s favourite songs, “The Lion Sleeps Tonight!
