As we ready the radio for another Hottest 100 countdown, triple j have kindly offered some insight into the workings of their musical juggernaut.

Radio Today can reveal some of the impressive stats and facts ahead of today’s broadcast;

• 2,255,110 votes were cast – that’s 7.6% up on last year and a new record

• 66 Australian songs have made the list, which according to triple j, is the most ever

• 23 artists will make their Hottest 100 debut today

• 26 of the artists were first discovered on triple j’s new music platform, Unearthed

• Songs from 13 countries, which includes feature artists, make an appearance
