What are our favourite Aussie anthems?

Same Australia Day, different countdown.

iHeartRadio honoured the best Aussie anthems with its annual iHeartAustralia Countdown yesterday.

John Farnham, Men and Work, Icehouse, Cold Chisel and Yothu Yindi took out the Top 5 spots, which featured a mix of classic Aussie hits.

There were also new favourites from two of our big musical exports Keith Urban and Sia; both artists featured in the Top 20 (below).

Compiled from listener votes, the iHeartAustralia Countdown streamed the top 100 Aussie tracks on Thursday, providing the soundtrack for barbeques, beach cricket and families celebrating Australia Day.

The iHeartAustralia station recorded an 85% increase in sessions on last year and was up against smoothfm’s Top 500 and triple j’s Hottest 100 countdowns.
