Ed Sheeran just punked Hughesy & Kate

After co-hosting the Kylie & Jackie O Show yesterday (7 Feb), Ed Sheeran stuck around in the studio for an interview with KIIS stablemates Hughesy & Kate.

Kyle & Jackie O couldn’t help but have a little fun with their friends Dave ‘Hughesy’ Hughes & Kate Langbroek, dragging poor Ed Sheeran along for the ride.

The Sydney breakfast team convinced Ed to give the most awkward interview of his life – and the result was hilarious!

With Kyle & Jackie O in his ear telling him what to say, Ed was rude, deliberately called Hughesy “Hugsey”, was openly critical of Hughesy being late for the interview, refused to talk about anything except his music, and asked if Hughesy was ‘putting on’ his Australian accent.

It was starting to get a little heated with Hughesy ready to stop the interview when Ed came clean and admitted it was all a prank and Kyle & Jackie O jumped in on the chat.

Being the genuinely nice guy that Ed is, he couldn’t stop apologising (in between laughing) to Hughesy & Kate and later that day sent over a bottle of Dom Perignon to the KIIS drive duo.
