Triple M send breakfast show to Gallipoli

After the news that 3AW will be sending Justin Smith to Afghanistan to cover Anzac Day for the Fairfax Radio Network (see here), Triple M Sydney's 'The Grill Team' will also be heading overseas to cover the day.

Mark Geyer and Gus Worland will broadcast from Istanbul next week in the lead up to their show from Gallipoli on Anzac Day.

Matty: “Gallipoli along with Kokoda are the two places where we Australians have to go… The Australian identity was forged on the war fields there in Gallipoli.  Boys you are going to fly over to Istanbul, one of the greatest cities in the world, have four or five nights there, then you’re going to duck over to Gallipoli and have Anzac day there…And you’re going to do the show over there as well for a week.”

Gus: “Gee Matty. Thank-you mate… Are you absolutely fair dinkum MG and I are heading off to Turkey, for Anzac day?”

Matty: “Boys you are. You are going.”
