Fiveaa launch new weekly sport show

FIVEaa have combined with CrocMedia to launch a new weekly sports show called ‘Off the Bench with Hutchy and The Rooch’.

Adelaide sports journo Michaelangelo Rucci will join CrocMedia Chief Executive Craig Hutchison for the Thursday night program that will air straight after the Fiveaa drive show Rowey & Bone.

Hutchison says: “It’s about time someone kept The Rooch honest. I love South Australian footy and have always thought he was too hard on both Port Adelaide and Adelaide. I’ll be flying the flag for them and keeping The Rooch accountable.”

Rucci said: "I will draw the line on Hutchy hoodwinking the football public by suggesting he has South Australian sporting fans' interest at heart more than I do. He is starting to sound like those Victorians who come to Adelaide wanting to teach us how to play football."

"I'm looking forward to taking him on for longer than the warm-up sessions we have had on Saturdays. But more than anything, it is fantastic that we can get together to bring our listeners the latest news and views on sport."

FIVEaa sports director Cam Thompson said: “the love/hate relationship between Hutchy and the Rooch is certain to bring some entertaining debate and I look forward to them battling it out on FIVEaa, Adelaide’s home of sport.”

The show starts tomorrow night and runs for an hour from 7pm.
