HITZ give an Apple to the teacher

Strong local content from HITZ 939 in Bundaberg this week with their campaign 'Apple for the Teacher'.

The campaign was designed to recognise local teachers through having local students and parents identifying some of the markets great teachers.

Tracey Sergiacomi from HITZ 939 said that they had reworked the format of the promotion, which had run on other Grant Broadcasters stations, so that it would fit the local community;

“It’s amazing the wonderful things children and parents had to say about their teachers, and we are looking forward to announcing the overall winner”

The winning teacher and school will receive an Apple iPad, with each student in the teachers class receiving an iPod Shuffle.

Over 3000 nominations were submitted during the first 2 weeks, and voting for the finalists will be open until 2 April, with the winning teacher announced during the Breakfast Show on Friday 4 April.
