Nathan & Nat find replacement co-host

Nova Perth breakfast hosts Nathan & Nat got back to work after the long weekend to find their co-host Shaun McManus wasn't going to make it in.

With his son too ill to travel back to Perth from Busselton, Nathan & Nat quickly found a replacement – a stapler they found on Shaun's seat.

“It’s a great feeling to finally find someone we just really click with” said co-host Nathan, with Nat commenting that “Staples” really held the show together.

Staples interviewed Doctor Who expert Rob Lloyd, talked up the fact that Nova listeners could win a trip to see Justin Timberlake at The Staples Centre in LA, it took part in talk topics, asked newsreader Maddie questions about the tunnel closure plus gave away tickets to see Michael Buble.

“He did exactly what Shaun does, but better and with less banging on about football,” said Nathan.

Nova 93.7 Managing Director, Gary Roberts, said the stapler showed “great radio potential, and gives us a lot less grief than Shaun”.
