Ian Maurice hangs up his headphones

After 14 successful years at Brisbane’s News Talk 4BC, Evening newsreader Ian Maurice will hang up his headphones to join the theatre.

Ian Maurice said: “I’m so lucky to have been involved in two businesses that I love for many years, 4BC and Brisbane’s Arts Theatre. I’ve always loved the media and I hold a passion for the arts. Now I feel blessed to be able to move from one love to another.”

Ian has been appointed General Manager of Brisbane’s Arts Theatre and will take up the position in August.

4BC General Manager Anthony Frangi said: “We are of course sad to lose one of Brisbane’s favourite broadcasters, but we are delighted for Ian that he has accepted the position as General Manager of Brisbane’s longest running theatre.”

“I would like to thank Ian for his dedication and service to 4BC and our audience. He leaves us with our sincere appreciation and gratitude for all that he has achieved.”
