News Talk 4BC – Commitment to G20 Coverage

Staff Writer

Brisbane will be centre stage as the G20 circus rolls into town with a number of the world’s leaders on our doorstep. They are expecting up to 4,000 delegates and 3,000 plus media reps to cover the summit.

It will be the news event over the coming days and Fairfax Radio Network’s News Talk 4BC will be in the thick of it.

From today 4BC will have live broadcasts over the next five days, lead by 4BC Mornings Host and Walkley Award-winning journalist Patrick Condren.

4BC will have reporters stationed at key locations across the city delivering up to date information and rolling coverage of significant events as they happen. Their commitment to coverage includes the local team being Fairfax Network National Affairs Editor Michael Pachi and the Fairfax Radio Network Canberra Bureau’s Olivia Leeming.

This Wednesday and Thursday, 4BC will broadcast from the heart of Brisbane where the world's leading thinkers will gather as part of the Global Café, a key event leading up to the Leaders' Summit.

4BC will continue to provide regular updates on road closures, traffic conditions, public transport and flight delays.

“Our dedicated team of journalists will be Brisbane's eyes and ears on the streets, for all the news and events from the G20 Leaders' Summit,” 4BC General Manager Anthony Frangi said.

“Our team will also have the latest reaction from locals on the G20 and how it's affecting them. Our broadcasts will make 4BC Brisbane’s essential guide to the G20.”
