Mal Lewis departs Gold 104.3

Gold 104.3 Melbourne Content Director Mal Lewis has resigned from the ARN station.

When Radio Today spoke to ARN Group CD Duncan Campbell on Tuesday  he said: “To say that we’re happy with the results would be untrue, we are not happy with the KIIS results and I think Gold should be stronger than it is at the moment.”

In survey #2 this week Gold was largely flat but, significantly, didn’t  win any demos. They were also leapfrogged “Stephen Bradbury” style by Triple M in 40-54’s, and a big jump 55-64 saw smoothfm knock off Gold in that demo. 

Mal has been with Gold 104.3 since 2008 as CD. ARN have not advised who is taking over the role with the station.
