Staff Writer

Kerry ‘Pecky’ Peck has retired. The voice of Bathurst for 30 plus years, working at 2BS in the early 70’s and returning in the 80’s. Pecky hosted the Monday to Friday breakfast program on 2BS through to 2011.

After getting back on track with his health, he has hosted the Weekend breakfast programs ever since.

Pecky was given a large farewell at Bathurst Broadcasters on Wednesday as he has decided to hang up the headphones permanently. Pecky has supported the Bathurst Community with a number of fundraisers over the years including the  Daffodil Cottage, two flood appeals in the 1980’s that raised around $30,000 each  and he was also responsible for securing  the Jaws of Life equipment for the S.E.S. locally.

Kerry was presented with a golden microphone and lots of  gifts from the 2BS staff.
