Spirit WA’s Pablo Newton Farley teamed up with AFL Legend and Sports Day radio’s Scotty Cummings and 15 other riders to trek nearly 600k’s for charity. Setting off last Monday from Port Hedland, they went across the Pilbara to Onslow arriving Friday. With over $50,000 raised for the If Foundation, they can say “mission complete.”

Pablo said: “To be honest, 1 hour into the ride I thought I’d have to pull out. 19km of preparation was definitely not enough.”

“Even though I’ve been carb-loading for years this was the hardest physical challenge I’ve ever embarked on. Thankfully I could tuck in behind Scotty to get a good wind shield.”

After a successful inaugural ride, the If Foundation are already gearing up for another next year.

Pablo commented: “give me six months to recover and I may consider doing it again.”
