104.7’s new Breakfast Team – Ryan & Tanya

104.7 in Canberra has announced their new breakfast show for 2016. Ryan Jon from HOT FM WA and Tanya Hennessy from HOT FM Toowoomba will come together to form a new team.

Ryan & Tanya will be On-Air on Monday 18th January and both are old mates.

Originally from Newcastle, Tanya started out at New FM and NXFM, next to Griffith’s Star FM and currently she is on Breakfast at HOTFM in Toowoomba.  Outside of radio she’s worked as a writer, an actor and in comedy. Her YouTube channel now has a couple of videos that have clocked over 1.3 million views.

Ryan Jon originally from Melbourne, has seen him work around the country in breakfast radio for three years. Including Victoria, Queensland also at HOT FM Toowoomba and Ryan is currently at HOT FM Western Australia. Ryan’s also tapped into writing and producing films that have made it to the Melbourne International Comedy Festival.

The current 104.7 team of Nigel Johnson and Kate Rice (Nige & Kate) will still be with the company. Nige will be taking a break from breakfast radio from this Friday and will return on Mix106.3 with Kate returning to the newsroom for both stations.

Canberra FM, the ARN/SCA joint venture also hinted at some more news around 104.7 in mid-December. In early October, long term 104.7 breakfast team member Scotty Masters exited the station .
