End of an Era: Last Day for 2UE at Greenwich

Today marked the end of an era for News Talk 2UE as it broadcast its very last program from its Greenwich studios.  Clinton Maynard, 2UE Program Manager told Radio Today:

“We have been here for almost 11 years. Prior to this building we were 3 doors up the road where we’d been since the early 1990s, so Greenwich has been a huge part of 2UE history.  The switch over to Pyrmont was seamless at Midday.

“I made the point on air that the building holds wonderful memories for 2UE with a whos who who of broadcasting having presented programs from the studios. However just like a house move, while you leave behind memories you look forward to an exciting future at your new home and that’s what is happening with 2UE. “

“We are excited to be part of such a successful radio company Macquarie Media and looking forward to continue to entertain and inform our listeners from our new studios.”

Trevor Long took over at Midday from 2UE’s new home in Pymont. 2UE joins 2GB and 2CH for Macquarie, in the same Saunder street location is Nova 969 and smooth, with Channel Ten next door.
