Staff Writer

92.7 Mix FM’s Give Me 5 for Kids have broken another record. $373,822, is the largest amount ever donated.

Mix FM’s Mark & Caroline and Drive team Todd & Sami, held more than 40 separate Give Me events.

In 17 years, 92.7 MIX FM’s Give Me 5 for Kids appeal has donated over 3.4 million dollars for Sunshine Coast children’s health services. The funds donated will go towards the growing Child Development Service for the Sunshine Coast’s hospital, essential equipment for the Nambour General Hospital’s Paediatric Unit, as well as the wellbeing and entertainment of young patients in the Children’s Ward at the Nambour General Hospital.

92.7 MIX FM’s Caroline Hutchinson says she is so proud of this year’s achievement; “We can’t believe it gets bigger and bigger every year. We’ve been on the job 17 years now and maybe people are used to us, maybe they have seen the difference GM5FK makes at the hospital or maybe they just really wanted to see Top Gun again. Whatever the motivation for the giving, we are very grateful.”

92.7 MIX FM’s General Manager John Williams says “We are overwhelmed by the generosity of the Sunshine Coast. Another record year & Mark & Caroline our breakfast hosts as usual have lead from the front. This is a reflection of a community of listeners who want to be involved and contribute to the welfare of Sunshine Coast Children and have bonded with the concept of 92.7 MIX FM Give Me Five for Kids, it is incredible”.
