2SER announces Alex James for Breakfast

Sydney’s 2SER 107.3FM has a new Breakfast show for 2020, Alex James.

The community radio station has apppointed former The Daily host James to the role, after she spent time filling in for Tess Connery last year.

Connery would go on to pursue a role in digital media later in 2o19, leaving 2SER in need of a full-time host.

James grew up in regional NSW, and studied at Macquarie University in Sydney.

As host of The Daily, she resented a special broadcast celebrating 40 years of 2SER in 2019, which featured interviews with federal politicians, ex-program presenters and other Sydney luminaries.

“I first started as a producer for the Tuesday Daily a few years back! After a few years, nightshifts and a lot of training I was presenting the same show,” said James.

“Then I started hosting the Breakfast show as a fill in at the end of 2019 and now here we are!”
