2UE have a day out in the west

Staff Writer

2UE’s ‘Western Sydney Odyssey’ bus tour was held on friday, with a live broadcast and free breakfast at Wenty Leagues Club for the first 100 listeners.

Following breakfast, John Stanley and Garry Linnell took 45 listeners on a hosted bus tour of the west; visiting Panthers, Rookwood Cemetery, the Parramatta Correctional Centre and Old Government House and Domain.

2UE Content Director Clinton Maynard said:

“A huge number of our listeners live in Sydney’s western suburbs so it was important for John and Garry to spend time in their backyard. We often take listeners on overseas tours, but we believe it’s important to also recognise what’s great about our own city.

The feedback we’ve had from listeners has been overwhelming, with the many who missed out on a spot asking us to conduct another tour, which we will do later in the year.”
