Forever Classic 6iX welcomes back Burgo & Blackers

Perth industry legends John Burgess and Ian Blackley are gearing up for a return to radio on Forever Classic 6iX.

They’ll join forces on Sundays from 9am-12pm starting September 2.

“Burgo and Blackers are both Perth radio legends – We felt there was a gap for some fun that’s not re–cooked or re-heated across the weekend,” said 6iX general manager Evan Broadway.

“The beauty of this partnership is that they’re already great mates so the chemistry is there. Each week the boys will have a look at what’s been making news locally, nationally and internationally while putting their distinctive spin on it!”

“Just like a fine wine these two get better with age,” added program director Brad Pottinger.

“Although their combined age is higher than our FM frequency (105.7) they are still just under the AM frequency (1080).

“The show is called Burgo and Blackers BS and we’ll let you work out what the BS stands for.”
