Brisbane community radio station 96Five has, after some months of uncertainty, announced it’s new lineup.

Long-term Breakfast host and Content Director Liam Renton has exited the station, along with Chief Executive Officer Brett McLeod and Drive Co-Host Paul Burns.

The new Breakfast co-host is Steve Lanzon, who will will host the show with Robbie Parkin. Steve has a background in commercial radio breakfast in Queensland and New South Wales. Producer Nicky Becker has joined Ken Green on Drive.

There has been no CEO appointed yet, with Phil Gray caretaking until the role is filled, and no Content Director announced.

The station lineup has been in limbo for the last 3-months with the changes confirmed this week, and listeners have been vocal about the process with the station heavily criticised on social media.

However 96Five is excited about the new direction, saying: “If it’s been a while since you listened, or you’ve never listened, we invite you to give 96five a try. We’re sure you and your family will find that each day we offer a refreshing positive listening experience”.

And there has been positive feedback from some listeners amongst the criticism.
