ABC Radio’s second All-Star Debate in honour of International Women’s Day is set to feature six Australian women including a Walkley Award Winner, a stand-up comedian and a Real Housewife of Melbourne.

The debate will take place on Sunday March 4 at Studio 31 ABC Southbank from 2pm – 4pm, and asks ‘Is Bold The New Beautiful?’

It promises to explore topics like strength and beauty “in an age of hashtag movements [and] botox,” and discuss the consequences and repercussions of it all.

“But most of all, in this International Women’s Day All Star Debate there’s a gang of strong, bold, sassy women working together to make things better for all, with heart, wit and laughter,” pitches organisers.

It will be presented by Libbi Gor of ABC Radio Melbourne, and guests will include Walkley Award Winner and ABC News Breakfast anchor Virginia Trioli, Real Life Housewife of Melbourne and barrister Gina Liano, and 2017 Melbourne International Comedy Festival Director’s Prize winner Demi Lardner.

They’ll be joined by performer, writer and comedian Jean Kittson, chef and broadcaster Elizabeth Chong, Stand Up Comic, fashion designer and self declared bogan Muslim Frida De Guise, and RN Drive jounalist Patricia Karvelas.

ABC Radio’s ‘Is Bold The New Beautiful’ debate will  be broadcast nationally on IWD Thursday 8 March, ABC Melbourne & Victoria, 7pm, RN Radio National and iView.

Registration for tickets is now open.
