2CA and 2CC have moved into Radio Canberra’s new studios on Bellenden St in Crace.

The state-of-the-art Canberra Radio Centre is a purpbuilt, multi-million-dollar investment in radio broadcasting for the Canberra region.

It includes eight radio studios equipped with the very latest digital broadcasting technology, and will also house Canberra’s DAB+ digital stations Kix Country, My Canberra, Snow Digital and Coles Radio.

DAB radio officially launched across Canberra last month.

“This is a great new facility for our staff and an investment that speaks to the strength of radio broadcasting in the nation’s capital city,” said Radio Canberra GM Michael Jones.

“2CA and 2CC now enjoy the very best broadcasting facilities in Australia.”

2CA began broadcasting in 1931 originally from the back room of an electrical store in Kingston, and the Canberra Radio Centre is the station’s fifth home.

The new studios are the third home of 2CC, since it launched as Canberra’s second commercial radio station in 1975, broadcasting from its original home, also on Bellenden St.
