AFTRS’ third pop-up radio station of the year is now streamable on ARN’s iHeartRadio.

The station is run by 2019 Graduate Diploma of Radio students at the Australian Film Television and Radio School.

AFTRS FM is a news, current affairs and talk broadcast station, challenging the students to produce exceptional content, on-air and for digital & social.

“The students have been working hard to create well-targeted, intelligent, thought-provoking content, whilst actively supporting Australian music,” said AFTRS head of radio Fyona Smith.

ABC’s Glen Bartholomew, RN The Music Show’s Ellie Parnell, 2GB’s Natalie Peters and Sam Stove, triple j’s Lachie Macara, Australian Media Personality Angela Catterns and more are acting as industry air-checkers for the broadcast.

In addition, the students have created a series of Podcast’s that air at 1pm during ‘Podclub’.

They’ve secured interviews and in-studio appearances with Richard Clapton, Ben from indie duo Boo Seeka and singer-songwriter Didirri.
