AFTRS students take over the NOVA studio

AFTRS graduate diploma students have invaded the NOVA/smoothfm studios in Sydney to get some valuable hands-on industry experience.

NOVA Entertainment Creative Director, Lisa Burton ran the cohort through a creative session, after which the students were allowed the opportunity to write and record AFTRS commercials.

“NOVA provided an excellent learning experience,” AFTRS head of radio Fyona Smith said.

“Students found it highly engaging. They have a greater understanding of the role of sales in a commercial radio station, thanks to the NOVA Entertainment team.”
