Andrew Denton reveals his top five podcasts

Andrew Denton has revealed his top five favourite podcasts, shortly after launching his own new series Interview.

He unveiled his list to Media Week, shortly after Interview became the #1 podcast in Australia on iTunes.

They were:

• Radiolab: New York Public Radio station WYNC investigating a strange world.
• Russia If You’re Listening: Matt Bevan-hosted podcast from ABC Radio.
• The Daily: The New York Times’ daily podcast.
• Download This Show: Marc Fennell-hosted weekly podcast from Radio National
• Sizzletown: Tony Martin plays host on the world’s first late-night call-in podcast.

Interview acts as a companion to Denton’s Network Seven series by the same name.

It includes additional commentary from Andrew, backstories,  and behind the scenes material not seen or heard on the TV show.

It’s now spent a full week at #1, rating head of ABC’s highly successful Conversations podcast, Emma Chamberlains Stupid Genius and Joe Rogan.

“I love podcasting, because it gets inside peoples’ heads like nothing else,” said Denton upon its launch.
