ARN to further expand podcasting team

Staff Writer

Australian Radio Network (ARN) and its iHeartPodcast Network are looking to grow, with the creation of a new podcast operations coordinator role.

The role will support the podcast operations managers in managing and scaling the podcast commercial operations process, and act as a conduit between the commercial and production teams, as well as podcast partners.

The aim is to maximise the revenue and ratings outcomes of the content.

Recruitment for the role comes soon after ARN announced a series of promotions, including Corey Layton, who was elevated from head of commercial audio and podcasts, to head of digital audio.

Layton also recently recruited Stephanie Coombes as podcast content and partnerships director, noting “who wouldn’t be excited about a growing team?”

“I think the podcast space is just continuing to grow and evolve week after week. And what’s great for me is we are just getting behind that continued growth, and by having someone like Steph who can really focus on elements of our podcast offering and continue to grow what we do for audience and brands – it’s exactly the path that I was hoping we were on, and we are very much in it,” Layton told Radio Today late last year.

Layton also recently received the most votes and nominations for Podcasting Today’s Podcast Power Players List this week.

The new role could be based in Sydney, Melbourne or Brisbane.

Applications for the new role close on February 20, and you can apply here.
