Ash London hosts new series promoting NSW tourism

Former Editor & Content Director

Host of Ash London Live, Ash London, has been recruited by the NSW Government to star in a series aimed at reigniting travel and tourism within the state.

London hosts The Long Road, which features her and six prominent Aussie musicians hitting the road and exploring what the state has to offer.

London told Radio Today she’s done a lot of cool things in her career, but fronting this campaign “sits pretty close to the top”.

“This series is quite literally the meeting of my two great loves – music and travel,” she said. “I’ve seen parts of my own backyard I didn’t know existed and revelled in the chance to spend quality time with some of my favourite artists. I mean, who gets to spend three days in the desert with Amy Shark?

“I hope people are as inspired by these stories and landscapes as I have been, and more importantly I hope they pack their bags for their own NSW adventure.”

The series runs for six episodes and features Guy Sebastian, Amy Shark, Connie Mitchell from Sneaky Sound System, Troy Cassar-Daley, Ocean Alley’s Baden Donegal, and the Polish Club.

London said Aussie artists were perfect to feature in this campaign due to the winding, inspiring and unpredictable nature of their careers.

“An artist’s journey to ‘success’ is never a direct route, and often the pit stops along the way are what make the journey truly magical. That’s what makes The Long Road so special. It’s an opportunity to hit the road, have an adventure, see the sights and enjoy a laugh with some of my favourite artists,” she said.

Usually an interview slot is around 15 minutes, so having three days to really get into it was a dream come true. Especially with glorious NSW providing such a breathtaking backdrop. Best. Gig. Ever!”
