Ben Latimer joins Leroy Brown’s ‘Air Heads’ podcast

NOVA Entertainment‘s Ben Latimer is the latest guest to join Leeroy Brown’s Air Heads podcast.

Later was appointed to the dual program director role for Nova 93.7 Perth and Nova 91.9 Adelaide in 2019.

On the podcast, Latimer and Brown cover plenty of topics, including snagging triple j hosts Ben & Liam for Nova Adelaide Breakfast.

“We’re lucky to have them, they’re local Adelaide boys who’ve been away… We started chatting to Ben & Liam from a mentoring perspective a couple of years ago,” says Latimer.

“There was a rare opening to get them over, it’s good to be working with them. They have a genuine connection with the Adelaide market.”

Latimer also shares stories about his own radio journey, including making the move from smoothfm to Nova.

“The jump from smooth to Nova was a pretty marked change. Smooth is a pretty well-oiled machine,” he says.

“Paul [Jackson] has created such a mighty brand and station, it ticks over very well. Not to say it’s ‘set and forget’ but it’s a very well-defined brand.

“Nova, on the other hand, is a fast-moving, fast-ticking CHR station. The Sydney role was home to most of our network programming.

“At Nova you’d be walking in every day… it was pretty chaotic but in a fun and invigorating way.”
