Ben & Liam to host national Sunday show on Nova

Nova Adelaide newbies Ben Harvey and Liam Stapleton are going national.

After building a strong following in their hometown since debuting on Nova 919 in January, the former triple j duo will host a new Sunday Breakfast show on the Nova Network from July 26.

As first reported by Radio Today, Harvey and Stapleton accepted an offer from NOVA Entertainment’s Paul Jackson last October to return to Adelaide for the new primetime gig.

In this year’s second survey they were Adelaide’s #2 FM Breakfast show, with 9.7%.

“It’s been a brilliant start for Ben & Liam and it’s clear our Nova audience is loving having the boys back home,” Nova 919’s head of programming Ben Latimer said.

“The new Sunday morning national breakfast slot will not only satisfy Ben & Liam’s interstate fans, but it also means we get to extend the show’s reach to new audiences.

“Based on the early wins in Adelaide, we are confident the guys’ genuine friendship and sense of humour will resonate just as well with our national Nova audience.”

NOVA Entertainment also revealed that Ben & Liam’s popular podcast is now daily, with monthly listens up 152% from February to June this year.
