Ben & Liam conclude summer Breakfast stint with free-fall broadcast

Nova’s lineup of Ben Harvey and Liam Stapleton ended their summer Breakfast stint by attempting to broadcast as they jumped out of a plane.

Much of the broadcast during the free-fall was inaudible, however the duo said they think it’s a world-first in radio.

Ben & Liam joined Nova this year to front the Adelaide Breakfast show. It was then announced that for part of the survey break, the duo would be syndicated nationally.

Throughout their summer series, they threw open a challenge for any “notable figures” to call into the show, and ended up on the line with opposition leader Anthony Albanese and performer Tones and I.

The show returns to Adelaide Breakfast next year.

In the last ratings of the year, Nova Adelaide had a 9.7% share in Breakfast, putting it behind FM rivals Triple M and Mix 102.3 – both on 10.6% – and FIVEaa’s 12.2% and ABC Adelaide’s 15.9%.
