Canberra FM loses CD Jason Matthews

Jason Matthews, content director at Hit 104.7 and Mix 106.3 Canberra, will finish up the role on March 21.

Matthews will take up the position of branding director AU/NZ at Granite Transformations and will be based in Sydney.

“It’s a wonderful opportunity that allows me to broaden my skill set and learn new things in a new industry,” Matthews said in a Facebook post. “I’m am totally grateful for the opportunity that they are giving me.

“I will miss the team here in Canberra as the content team here are amazing, he added. “The stuff that’s coming out of the speakers is some of the best I’ve heard in ages and I’m very proud of them all.”

Matthews has worked across various radio roles throughout his career including CD at 92.5 FM Gold, NRL producer at Triple M Brisbane, and has also worked at Hit90.9 Sea FM Gold Coast. 

No replacement for the role has been announced.
