Hit Network’s Carrie Bickmore confirms ‘The Project’ return

Carrie Bickmore is set to return to Ten’s The Project following an eight-month break for the birth of her third child.

The radio and TV host will be back behind the desk from July 8, joining Waleed Aly and Peter Helliar.

“I can’t believe it’s been 10 years! It only feels like yesterday I was sitting on the desk in a cold sweat waiting for the first show to begin,” said Carrie.

It’s been a big few weeks for Carrie, who was also awarded the Medal of the Order of Australia (OAM) for her services to the broadcast media and brain cancer awareness.

In other Carrie news, she’s been in the UK recently for a Spice Girls concert with Hit Network co-host Tommy Little.

The two had been pranking each other non-stop since going overseas, but Tommy had one final prank.

Carrie entered a room and was surprised to see Elton John sitting there.

Or so she thought…
