I would have not considered myself a 2ch listener as there was always a stigma associated with listening to this type of station, however since the appointment on Cherie, I have been listening on the 2ch app waiting for the change……changes in music, the content and the personalities has now shifted my attitude and my listening preference to CH……could this be the next big challenge for smooth & WS…..

I am completely offended that people over the age of 50 have been referred to as Baby Boomers. I am 50 and a proud member of Generation X. No one understands me.

I don’t think WSFM and Smooth would be too worried about this.

I just wish Cherie Romaro would save Melbourne’s Lack of AM Music Station and buy 1629am from JLS Media and Launch a Localised Classic Hits Station.

Great format, just get rid of some of those 60’s songs that sound really “dated”.
Good luck!

Can think of no one better to guide the ship than Cheri

Good call Howard but the 2CH ship has well and truly sailed… along with its audience.

Nothing supports that theory more than expecting a few old legends of industry to deliver a 5 hour on-air shift.

Sounds very similar in format to the new2UW.com internet station based in Newcastle. Try it and see.

Hello!! I have missed Gareth McCray on Saturday and Sunday afternoons. Has Gareth moved on to a new time slot?

I am glad that 2CH has moved on, and away from Gareth Maccray. He was just too old fashioned, pompous and full of himself. I only ever listened to the PM shows or any times when he wasn’t on air. I am now firmly an entrenched listener. Love Indira and Trevor, and I listen at work all day to Tim Webster. I am actually a distant relative of Gareth (who changed his name to his present surname in the early 1970’s)

Gareth McCray taught me at school. He was then called Gareth Spathonis .
