Former Assistant Editor

Nova 100 is celebrating 14 years of partnering with the Melbourne International Comedy Festival this year.

Breakfast show Chrissie, Sam & Browny will broadcast live outside the Melbourne Town Hall to celebrate the festival launch on Wednesday, March 27.

They’ll be joined by some of the top comedians from the festival, names including Judith Lucy, Urzila Carlson, Arj Barker, Anne Edmonds, Dilruk Jayasinha, Nazeem Hussain, Joel Creasey, Peter Helliar, Josh Earl, Ben Knight and Nath Valvo all set to pop by.

Chrissie, Sam & Browny will be giving attendees the chance to win $1,000 every 30 minutes thanks to Bendigo Bank.

“The Comedy Festival OB is an absolute hoot and quite possibly my fave show of the year,” said Chrissie.

“Everyone is welcome to come and hang out with us – but we’re not afraid to bribe people either – so we’re giving away $1000 cash every half hour!”

“It’s great to finally have some comic talent on the show,” added Browny.

As part of the festival, Nova 100 is presenting the Hits & Giggles gala event, featuring a stack of fresh new Aussie comic talent.

Nova guests can win their way to the event, on Saturday, April 13 at the Forum Theatre.

Nova 100’s annual event for agencies and clients Friday Funnies will also take place during the festival, hosted by Troy Ellis and featuring some of the best acts from the festival.

The Melbourne International Comedy Festival runs from Wednesday, March 27 to Sunday, April 21.
