Nova’s ‘Confessions Of A Train Wreck’ podcast turns three

Former Assistant Editor
Phoebe Parsons

NOVA Entertainment’s first locally-produced podcast Confessions Of A Twenty Something Train Wreck is celebrating some significant milestones this week.

The podcast is the creation by Phoebe Parsons, the inaugural winner of NOVA’s ‘Podquest’, also recently ticked over 1.5 million downloads.

Over the past three seasons, Parsons has shared her own life disasters, mishaps and ‘train-wreck’ moments, with the content resonating with her loyal listener base.

“When I first started the podcast, I wasn’t sure I’d even have enough content to get past 5 episodes,” Parsons tells Radio Today.

“But here we still are… a hop, skip, jump, three years and 13 seasons later, and I still haven’t consolidated the 7 different super accounts I spoke about in my very first episode.

“I either a.) drastically underestimated how much of a Train Wreck I actually was, b.) failed to grow wiser as I inevitably got older or c.) all of the above.”

The podcast has also spawned its own range of ‘Train Wreck’ merchandise.

Confessions of a Twenty Something Train Wreck is released every Tuesday and is available for download here.
