Crocmedia adds stations

Melbourne-based content production house Crocmedia has launched its 'Off the Bench' program into the Western Australian market on the Spirit Radio Network.

'Off the Bench' is hosted by AFL and Media identities Craig Hutchison, Liam Pickering and Dr Turf, however the Western Australian version of the show will include former AFL star Scott Cummings. The show has aired on sport station SEN in Melbourne for some time now, as well as regional Victoria, Tasmania and some areas of NSW and in total now runs on 45 stations nationally.

Hutchison will also host another program for Western Australian audiences, The Locker Room, which will be heard across the Southern Cross Austereo regional WA Network. Hutchison commented: “Off the Bench has been by far our most successful program and it’s fantastic that Western Australians will now be able to hear it” 

Crocmedia's business model is built around generating brand-funded content, similar to the MCM Barter arrangement that many stations will be familiar with. Generally, content will be provided to radio stations free of charge, or Crocmedia buy the airtime, in return for the inventory  being made available for Crocmedia to sell to national clients.
