After Coles Radio was dethroned by Australian Radio Network’s 80s format as the #1 DAB+ brand nationally in Survey 6, the latest digital radio ratings today show it’s holding strong.

ARN’s 80s reported 277,000 listeners, followed by NOVA’s Coles Radio with 248,000 nationally.

ABC’s Double J is now the third most listened to DAB+ network, with 235,000 listeners nationally. In the last survey, Double J was second overall across the five metro markets.

After losing 123,000 listeners in the last book, Sydney has added 100,000 in Survey 7. Meanwhile in Melbourne, the market is down 160,000 listeners after adding 280,000 in Survey 6.

The survey period for this book was August 23 to September 19 and September 20 to October 24.

Southern Cross Austereo’s Hit Network also rebadged the remaining OLDSKOOL, EASY, URBAN, DANCE and BUDDHA stations for uniformity.

Double J is an awesome station. Amazing music, well thought out and researched interviews and intelligent hosts. A big improvement from commercial station. I’m a convert!
