Dad & Son, Mick & Matt Newell take a stand on Marriage Equality

They might be on opposition stations in Hobart, but 7HO FM’s Mick Newell and his son SEA FM’s Matt Newell are together on the same issue – marriage equality. While both are set to appear in a new TV ad, it was Matt’s own story he told on the weekend that is the standout.

At the end of 2013, Matt came to terms with who he really was and in March this year he came out On-Air. Over the weekend he told his story at the Australian Marriage Equality rally in Hobart. It’s worth a watch below.
