Dan Hill departs Fox FM for CD role at K rock

Fox FM music director and ops manager Dan Hill has left SCA for a role with Grant Broadcasters.

Dan has been tapped for the role of content director at K rock 95.5 in Geelong, starting on June 3.

It’s a big coup for the station, with self-confessed “radio nerd” Dan last year named on a list of the 15 Most Influential Music Minds by The Music Network.

“Dan’s CV reads like someone twice his age,” says K rock GM Andy Mathers.

“He is a super talented young guy and thoroughly deserves his shot. I have no doubt Dan will be a wonderful addition to the K rock family and we’re looking forward to working with him.”

Dan got his start with Student Youth Network (SYN) and also worked at the Capital Radio Network.

He joined SCA in 2006, and in that time has worked as an announcer, image producer, content producer and of course music director across stations including HotFM, 4TOFM, 969 Star FM, Sea FM, 92.9, NXFM, KOFM and 2DayFM.

“I am absolutely thrilled to be joining the K rock family. I grew up down the road, not far from Geelong, and used to listen to K rock when I was a kid,” said Dan.

“To be leading a dream station is completely surreal – I’m totally ready for the challenge.”
