Dillon and SCA in Court

Staff Writer

The long-running contract dispute between former Triple M Adelaide Breakfast Announcer Kym Dillon and Austereo (SCA) saw its next chapter yesterday.

Dillon, pictured left (in black) in happier times with the former Breakfast Show, was axed by Triple M in 2010 and brought proceedings against the company. However, the trial date set down for February 2012 had been cancelled at the request of both parties as the dispute had apparently been settled.

Or so they thought.

Both Dillon and SCA disagreed over the terms of the resolution and have subsequently referred it back to the District Court.

SCA's lawyers are seeking to have the hearing held in private saying that Dillon has not disputed confidentiality as part of the resolution, however Dillons lawyers have countered by saying that as no agreement at this stage exists there can be no confidentiality agreed.

It appears likely both parties will be back in the Adelaide District Court in May.
