Dylan Lewis lands new radio gig after departing Nova Adelaide

Staff Writer

Dylan Lewis will host Double J Weekends from July 18.

The former Nova Adelaide Breakfast host temporarily replaces Gemma Pike, who is taking a break to welcome a brand new music fan into the world.

Lewis hosted Recovery and The 10.30 Slot in the late-90s. Since then he’s hosted Video Hits, conquered Celebrity Big Brother, and is an ACRA awarded radio host for his work on Nova.

A familiar voice to Double J listeners, Lewis has covered for Tim Shiel on Arvos, hosted Mornings over summer and is renowned for “bringing his musical insights” and “sense of silliness”.

“I bloody love Double J,” Lewis said. It feels like Aunty designed it just for me! It plays the music I love, and the presenters are all passionate about the music in the way I am.

“I feel very lucky and proud to be a part of the Double J family again. I’m home.

“I started out twenty-five years ago at the ABC doing a music show on a Saturday morning – and now I’m back on the weekends doing it again. Pretty neat huh?!”

Triple j also confirmed Caz Tran will host The J Files every Thursday for Pike until she returns.

Lewis joined Nova 91.9 Breakfast in 2012 and hosted the show for several years alongside Shane Lowe who left the station in 2018 and replaced with Hayley Pearson.
