Entries are officially open for the 2019 Australian Commercial Radio Awards.

As previously announced by CRA, this year’s event is heading back to Brisbane, having last been held there in 2013.

It will be held at the Brisbane International Convention Centre on October 19, and entries are now being taken here.

“This year’s ACRAs is set to be an exciting night celebrating radio talent from across Australia both on and off air,” said Commercial Radio Australia CEO Joan Warner.

This year’s ACRAs will be made up of 39 award categories.

The judging takes place as a two-level peer judging process, with state-based peer judging by a panel of senior radio industry members across networks firstly determining nominated finalists.

Then, a second stage occurs at a national level to determine the winners.

Other categories including best marketing campaign, best ad, best sales achievement, best music director are judged by the specialist panels.

The 2018 awards saw Lee Simon inducted into the commercial radio Hall Of Fame; an award nominated by industry colleagues and decided by an industry-wide senior executive panel.

Entries close on May 17.
