Marty Sheargold reveals Fifi Box’s wild past ahead of Big Night Out

Staff Writer

Triple M Melbourne’s Breakfast’s Marty Sheargold briefly switched radio stations this morning to join Fox FM’s Breakfast show.

The segment saw Sheargold reunited with former Shebang co-star Fifi Box as they discussed her looming Big Night Out.

Box has committed to an all-nighter with fellow hosts Brendan Fevola and Nick Cody in a bid to expose her current co-hosts to her old, “more fun”, partying days, which apparently were on display during her time on air with the likes of Sheargold and Jules Lund.

Sheargold warned the party organisers, however, that Box is “the worst drinker I’ve ever met in my life, without doubt”.

He went on to share all manner of stories about Box’s past, which left Cody a little afraid, but Fevola quite pumped, at what might be in store.

Box said it was “game on”.

“Fev and Nick only know me as Trixie and Daisy’s mum and the professional one in our broadcasting trio, but make no mistake, back in the day I partied with the best of them,” she said. “I have stories that would make even Fev blush and make Nick’s comedy tour road trips look like kindergarten trips to the zoo.   I can’t wait to out play them on the Gold Coast next month.”

About time SCA shut Triple M music format down, and just run Marty and FIFi on FOX. Kill two birds with one stone. Network into Sydney’s basket case, 2dayfm and that finally fixes Sydney and Melbourne. Eventually just network right around Australia. Then Triple M can become a proper talk station which it’s been aching to do for years. Take on those idiots at 3AW and2GB. It’s about time someone gave Nine Radio a run for its money. Anyone left at SCA still got balls to do this?
