Fitzy, Wippa… and Ray Hadley?

Nova 96.9’s Fitzy & Wippa have a unique relationship with 2GB’s Ray Hadley. He’s been in for a ‘rap battle’ and last year they pranked him with two members of 5SOS.

But the boys, who Ray calls “Flippy & Wiffy”, have taken things to a whole new level with a billboard in Ryde, presiding over six lanes of traffic.

How did it come about?

For the past couple of weeks, the guys have been swapping ‘things’ and upgrading to bigger and better items.

They’ve included Season 3 of Baywatch on DVD signed by Pamela Anderson, a keg of Four Pines, Tradie for a Day and business class flights to Hamilton Island.

It ended with a giant advertising billboard for 24-hours. Listener Pete suggested they share the space with the shock jock.

So, they went with ‘Feel the Power of Fitzy & Wippa’, which went up last night on the Edding Road overpass in Ryde.

This morning, the boys went to 2GB to gauge his response.

They’ve set the bar high and it remains to be seen if they can top it. Or maybe the ball is in Ray’s court?
