Glenn Daniel: A Life in Radio

Radio news legend Glenn Daniel is about to go from news ‘reporter’ to news ‘maker’ with the release of his autobiography next month.

News Time – A Life in Radio celebrates a career spanning 35 years.  It’s seen Glenn work with some extraordinary people in seven iconic newsrooms, while covering historic world events.

The smooth 95.3 breakfast news presenter and co-host of the More Music Breakfast Show with Bogart Torelli says he’s enjoyed reliving the stories.

“It’s been a wonderful trip down memory lane from raw beginnings to covering big stories over four decades.

“Oh, and too many early alarms, bad coffee, permanent jet lag and those crazy dreams where everything goes wrong live on air”.

Georgie Gardener is one of the many who got their break in media thanks to Glenn. The Today Show host has written the foreword for News Time – A Life in Radio.

“There are countless people across all sectors of the media who, like me, consider Glenn to be their mentor. It was a privilege to work alongside one of the most accomplished, respected and decent men in the industry.

“It was an honour to be given the opportunity to express my gratitude for Glenn in his book”.

News Time – A Life in Radio goes on sale on Friday 9 March at www.newstime.media

Having survived cancer and open heart surgery, all profits from the sale of Glenn’s autobiography will be donated to the Cardiac Research Unit at Royal Prince Alfred Hospital for its ‘world first’ valve replacement program without open heart surgery.

I’ve never worked with Glenn, but always admired him. Can’t wait to read the book and support it as best I can given the charities benefitting.
