Gold Coast Survey #2: Hot Tomato runs hot to reclaim top spot on Breakfast, Drive and overall
Hot Tomato has made up for its poor first survey of the year, making strong gains overall to reclaim the Gold Coast ratings throne among People 10+.
The independent station briefly surrendered top spot to Hit90.9 Sea FM last survey but rose to an impressive 15.6% share (+3.5) in Survey #2 for 2018. Sea FM fell to third place with 11.6% (-1.7) while GoldFM rose into second spot on 11.9% (+0.7).
Flan, Emily Jade & Christo with Brooke Hanson easily reclaimed the Breakfast honours with a 15.51% share (+2.5) back from Sea FM’s Heather, Dan and Ben on 13.0% (-0.6).
Meantime triple j’s Ben and Liam also had a great result, rising to a solid 9.2% share (+2.4), and the public broadcaster was up to 9.4% (+1.8).
The overall results were reflected on Drive too, with Hot Tomato’s Galey, Mal and Moyra bossing the timeslot, claiming a huge 18.2% (4.0) while listeners turned away from nationally syndicated Hughesy and Kate who fell to 13.6% (-2.5).

Triple J ahead of Sea in mornings :O
Local wins. If only Sydney’s stations realised it.
If only someone could have predicted that a former Bachelor contestant and a footy player with almost no media experience would fail to resonate with an audience.
Oh wait – I think everyone BUT SCA predicted that :/
Leigh you must be looking in all the wrong places it would seem the 90.9 breakfast program lost less than the rest of their station and are number one cume so they must be doing somethin ok hey
