Commercial Radio Hall of Fame inductee Graham Mott has come out of retirement to take on the new role of General Manager Radio for the Pacific Star Network in Melbourne.

Mott has been working with SEN in a consultancy capacity for a number of months and replaces Barrie Quick, who was CEO overseeing the radio and the publishing division of the company. Quick has exited the company.

Pacific Star operate sports station SEN, and music station MyMP, along with a publishing division. Pacific Star commented on Mott’s appointment saying:

“In line with the Group’s growth strategy, we are looking to provide long term investment into many areas of the business, in particular on future proofing our core assets for the digital world that media companies now operate in.

As part of this transition, we will be looking to implement a new organisational structure and recruit a number of new roles, and refocus some existing roles over the coming months.

As part of the changes the Group is pleased to announce the appointment of Graham Mott to the role of General Manager for the Radio division, this is a new role and will help provide day to day focus on the radio assets, including new revenue opportunities. Graham has over 46 years’ experience in commercial radio.

The Board and Barrie Quick, CEO, have mutually agreed his exit terms and would like to thank Barrie Quick for his contribution over the last 10 years, in particular the early days of the radio station’s recovery. We will be looking to hire a new Group CEO to provide expertise across our radio and publishing divisions and have strong experience in digital transformation.

In the interim, Colm O’Brien as Executive Director has agreed to act as Group CEO, until a new appointment has been made.”
